Broken Cell Phones - Neglecting Our Most Precious Electronic Obsession

Cell phones have been around long enough by now that everyone at some point in their mobile life will run into a snag when they forget for a second just how fragile the tiny mobile devices are and make a mistake. This mistake can result in a cell phone, cracking its plastic case, breaking the LCD screen, ruining the touch pad or even damaging a few of the key features on the phone such as the video camera or the Bluetooth. Of course, there is also the ultimate snafu, the one that results in a cell phone getting completely submerged in water which never has a happy ending.

The ironic thing about an owning mobile phone is the fact that they are so easy to break despite the fact that people rarely handle them as such. Most people consider a mobile phone to be something they cannot live without since it keeps them in close contact with their entire professional and personal world with just the click of a button. With the addition of social networking capabilities and web browsers people are living their lives through the tiny virtual machines that allow them to connect to anyone anywhere for just a small price each month. Add in the fact that the gadgets work almost anywhere, and a cell phone is not an item that you can live without.

However, despite this constant dependence on mobile phones, people are yet to actually treat them as the highly sophisticated pieces of technology that they are. Video camcorders, laptops, and digital cameras are all items that people will carefully place in a padded bag, gently carry, and put away on a safe shelf once their use is no longer needed. Mobile phones on the other hand get tossed around from person to person, jammed into a purse next to dozens of other items including bottles with leaky lids from time to time, or tossed into a side pocket where they can be crushed or scratched with keys. It is for this reason that the field of broken cell phone repair has become a lucrative field.

While this can be good news for those who are trained at broken cell phone repair, this is bad news if you need to fix your broken cell phone because sometimes it can be just as costly to fix a broken phone as it is to repair it. The reason for this is due to the fact that your phone has so many features loaded into it every component must be handled separately and with a small margin for error. Add in the fact that there are not too many options when it comes to fixing your cell phone and you have the formula for an expensive repair.

Of course, if you have a more basic phone you may be able to get it repaired for less since there are not so many functions at stake, but nowadays even the simplest cell phones come loaded with a lot of extra features that can make fixing them still an expensive cost. Since the only other option is to purchase a new cell phone, most of the time you will have no other option but to shell out the money and hopefully learn your lesson for next time.
